Nursing careers
Dialysis nursing is one of the most specialized and rewarding fields in outpatient care. At SNG you are not rotating between floors. You build real, lasting relationships with the same patients session after session.
Registered Nurse, In-Center Dialysis
Schedule: Full-time, MWF or TTS schedule available
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Initiate, monitor, and terminate hemodialysis treatments
- Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-treatment
- Manage vascular access sites and troubleshoot issues
- Administer IV medications and review lab results with the nephrologist
- Document treatments and collaborate with the full care team
- Educate patients and families on treatment and self-care
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Current Texas RN license in good standing
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Dialysis experience strongly preferred, not required
- CDN or CNN certification a plus
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Training note: New to dialysis? We provide orientation and training for qualified RNs making the switch.
Home Therapy Nurse (HHD and PD)
Schedule: Full-time or part-time, flexible schedule
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Train patients and care partners on home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
- Conduct home visits and assess patient technique and safety
- Monitor labs and coordinate care with the nephrologist
- Educate patients on catheter care, infection prevention, and troubleshooting
- Coordinate supply deliveries and equipment needs
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Current Texas RN license in good standing
- Dialysis or nephrology nursing experience preferred
- Home therapy or community nursing background a plus
- Strong communication and independent-work skills
- Bilingual English / Spanish strongly preferred
Training note: Home therapy experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
Dialysis technician careers
Dialysis technicians are the backbone of every in-center treatment. At SNG, technicians are a core part of the clinical team, not support staff in the background.
Patient Care Technician (PCT), Dialysis
Schedule: Full-time, MWF or TTS schedule available
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Set up and operate dialysis machines under RN supervision
- Cannulate AV fistulas and grafts, connect catheters
- Monitor patients during treatment and report changes to the RN
- Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis equipment
- Reprocess and disinfect dialyzers and equipment per protocol
- Support patient education and comfort during treatment
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- CHT (Certified Hemodialysis Technician) preferred
- Training pathway available for uncertified candidates with healthcare experience
- CNA, EMT, phlebotomy, or medical assistant background a plus
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
